The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way. 24 When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand (Psalm 37:23-24)

Dear Prayer Warriors:

Greetings from San José, Costa Rica!

Note to self: The next time the travel agent offers you a flight at 4:00 AM...tell him to get lost.

I arrived safe and sound (well, as sound as I get) in San José for classes in Pedagogy and Leadership (That's two classes, not one!)

I had some work to finish up for class so I figured with the 4 hour time difference I could get up at 3:00 AM and get some work done, since I should feel like it was 7:00. I woke up and looked at my watch. It was 3:00! But man, was I still exhausted. So I laid back down for a few more minutes. I woke up again and looked at my watch...7:00!!! Time to get up for breakfast. Man, I thought, what happened? Usually when I travel west across several time zones I wake up really early feeling refreshed. Oh well, I thought.

Then I looked at my roommates clock..3:00 AM! I FORGOT TO CHANGE MY WATCH! (Yeah, I know, so what I am doing getting a doctorate? Good question)...anyhow, the first time I woke up it was 11:00 PM and I'd only been asleep for an hour! No wonder I was still tired! So, I was up at 3:00 and got an enormous amount of work done. I thought maybe I should try that at home, but at about 6:00 I was dead to the world.

Thanks for praying for my trip and keep praying. The schedule is pretty grueling, but the food is great!

Continue to pray for Guguy and Cristina. I haven't heard if they moved or not, but I know they need your prayers whether they have or not!

NOTE: Some people have not been receiving these updates. If you have changed your email address, please let me know. Even with the right address some have not been getting received. CHECK WWW.MCCAMAN.COM . I'm going to try and always post the prayer letters there (although sometimes you don't get it because I didn't write it, but that's a different problem.)

There's also a new blog entry.

Thanks for praying!

Gary and Linda
